1. Chlorine dioxide is a yellow gas that dissolves easily in water.
We make this solution by the Cold Gas Infusion process. It is more complicated and produces a better product
2. It is obtained by mixing sodium solution and dilute hydrochloric acid.
3. Chlorine dioxide gas dissolved in water is an oxidant.
4. Chlorine dioxide is pH selective and the more acidic the pathogen, the stronger the reaction.
5. In the process of oxidation it is converted into oxygen and sodium solution (common salt).
We test each batch to guarantee solution strength. Please see photo of test strip.
The test chart shows our strength between 25 and 50 PPM. The proper test is to take one ml of CDS solution and add it to 99ml water to make 100 ml of test solution. Then multiply the results by 100. So as you can see our strength is between 3000ppm and 5000ppm. Guaranteed and tested.
This solution does not need mixing as our Pure Water Solution Chlorite does. It destroys all the same viruses, pathogens, parasites, and disease causing organisms the same as PWS, and is very easy to use with no mixing involved! One ml of CDS solution equal to three drops of Activated PWS (1ml CDS = 3 drops of PWS). 1 ML of CDS solution is equal to about 20 drops of CDS solution. Our Pure Water Solution CDS is made to the 3000 PPM recommended strength. You do not need to activate it. Simply add your desired amount of ML or drops to water. Our CDS solution should be kept in refrigerator once it is received to maintain it’s effectiveness. CDS Solution is sold for water purification as recommended by agencies such as FDA.

These DBPs include: Halogenated organics, such as THMs, haloacetic acids, haloketones, and others, that are produced primarily as a result of chlorination. Trihalomethanes, THMs are formed when chlorine or bromide reacts with organic compounds in water. Organic oxidation byproducts such as aldehydes, ketones, assimilable organic carbon (AOC), and biodegradable organic carbon (BDOC), that are associated primarily with strong oxidants such as ozone, chlorine.
In 1974, researchers in the Netherlands and the United States demonstrated that trihalomethanes (THMs) are formed as a result of drinking water chlorination (Rook, 1974; Bellar et al., 1974). THMs are formed when chlorine or bromide reacts with organic compounds in the water. EPA subsequently conducted surveys confirming widespread occurrence of THMs in chlorinated water supplies in the United States (Symons et al., 1975; USEPA, 1978).
